*PRE-ORDER* And The World Spins Anyway by Georgie Jones
£10.99
* Pre-Order* - Publication date 12th September 2025.
This a love letter to real life, however it shows up; an antidote to the highlight reel that is social media, a tribute to the unfinished, the unfiltered, the uncertain.
In this debut collection of poetry, stories and questionable choices, Georgie Jones, with her signature wit and warmth, explores the exquisite messiness of modern existence and makes the chaos feel, somehow, like home. She can’t promise any answers, but she can make you feel a little less alone in not having them.
Georgie Jones writes poems. It is her favourite thing to do.
Although, she’d like it to be known that a packet* of Frazzles and an episode** of Below Deck: Mediterranean comes an incredibly close second.
A performer by nature and a poet by trade, Georgie is known for her humour and heart. She was a Roundhouse Poetry Slam finalist before joining the Roundhouse Poetry Collective, and subsequently spent a year as Roundhouse Resident Artist. (It’s all a bit Roundhouse-centric, this, isn’t it? But wait, there’s more!)
Her debut spoken-word show Ish was commissioned by a consortium of Midlands-based venues and generously supported by the Arts Council. It sold out its preview tour, garnering four- and five-star reviews, and was set to sell equally well during a full UK tour in 2020, until, y’know (gestures at everything).
Undeterred, Georgie took her poetry to social media, where she has built an unexpectedly large and loyal following. An antidote to the algorithm, Georgie’s poems struck a chord with audiences across the globe. Her work is widely shared, often quoted and repeatedly returned to.
* 10 packets, they’re only small
** three episodes
