soak by Isadora Vibes

Inspired by the contradictions and liquidity of human existence, soak is a surreal and sensual body of work, capturing both the darkness and the light of human experience. Mother, lover, daughter, granddaughter, sister, friend – Isadora has created a collection of searing honesty, inviting the reader to suspend reality and engage in an adult world of tender truth, accompanied by a stark yet magical realism.

Isadora Vibes aka Katie Grant is a writer, theatre maker and artist. Choosing to stage her poetry in a more immersive, theatrical format, she has written and performed a number of solo and ensemble shows in Bristol, London, Edinburgh and Gothenburg. Artistic Director of the award-winning avant-garde punk guerrilla theatre company Dada For Girls, Isadora is currently developing a new show based on the poems in this book. A scratch performance will debut at the Stockholm Fringe Festival in September 2018 before being developed into a tour-ready production for 2019. Isadora lives in Bristol and has two teenage children.
